Frequently Asked Questions

It’s normal to have questions about Medicare, insurance, and Social Security. Here are some quick answers to help you feel more confident about your next steps.

No. I am not affiliated with or employed by the Social Security Administration. As a Registered Social Security Analyst® (RSSA®), I provide education and analysis to help you understand your options and make informed decisions about when and how to claim your benefits.

An RSSA® is a professional with specialized training in Social Security claiming strategies. I help you understand your choices, avoid common mistakes, and coordinate your Social Security benefits with your overall retirement plans.

Some Social Security analysis services may involve a planning fee depending on the depth of analysis you need. We’ll always talk about this upfront so you know exactly what to expect before moving forward.

Yes. While I specialize in helping people who are turning 65 or already on Medicare, I also help:

  • People under 65 who need health insurance

  • Families looking for life insurance

  • Small businesses seeking employee benefits

  • Pre-retirees planning ahead for Social Security

I work with multiple well-known insurance carriers so I can help you compare options and find coverage that fits your needs and budget.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent multiple insurance companies offering a variety of products. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) to review all available options.

If you enroll in an insurance plan through me, I’m typically compensated by the insurance company. This does not increase your premium. My goal is to help you find coverage that truly fits your needs.

Medicare, insurance, and Social Security decisions can affect your finances for years to come. I provide personal guidance, help you compare options, and explain things in plain language so you can make confident decisions without pressure.

Yes. I can help you review Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plan options, and assist with enrollment if you decide to move forward.

Yes — that’s one of my specialties as an RSSA®. Claiming at the wrong time can reduce your lifetime benefits. I help you look at your personal situation, including spousal and survivor benefits, to choose a strategy that fits your goals.

I work with clients in Ohio and Indiana and can meet with you:

  • In person

  • By phone

  • Virtually

We’ll choose whatever is most comfortable for you.

If we’re talking about Medicare or insurance, it helps if you bring:

  • Your current insurance cards

  • A list of prescriptions

  • Names of preferred doctors

If we’re discussing Social Security:

  • Your estimated benefit statement (if available)

  • Marital history (if applicable)

  • Basic retirement income information

If you don’t have everything, that’s okay — I’ll guide you.

No. Your first conversation is simply a chance for me to understand your situation and for you to decide if you’d like help moving forward.
